This week ushered in the Winter Solstice. Traditionally, the Winter Solstice has been seen as a significant time of year in many cultures, marked by festivals and rituals, celebrating the longest hours of darkness but also the joyful anticipation of the eventual return of the sun and warmth. It is a time marked by renewal, and self-reflection. While the specific traditions and rituals have evolved and differ between cultures, at the core of the celebration is reflection with family and friends on the year that has just past and thankfulness and hope for the new year to come.
As we reflect on 2020, we wanted to take this opportunity to thank you, our members, for your dedication and commitment to the home care community. You are all the real heroes, and we are truly grateful for everything you do. It certainly has been a challenging year but as we look towards 2021, we are hopeful for a bright future for the industry as we work towards caring for more and more people in the comfort of their own homes.
On behalf of everyone at the National Association for Home Care and Hospice, we wish you and your loved ones a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year!
