CellTrak-NAHC Home Care Aide Scholarships Are Back & Bigger Than Ever!

The call for nominations is officially open for the annual CellTrak Home Care Aide Scholarship, benefiting Aides across the country with scholarships to continue their educational efforts and further their home-based care careers. This year, the scholarship amounts have been doubled, increasing from $500 to $1,000 for 15 deserving aides.

CellTrak, a Homecare Homebase company, the provider of the industry’s leading mobile solution used by home care aides to empower better outcomes for the home continues its annual joint scholarship program with the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC).

“NAHC is thrilled to continue our very successful partnership with CellTrak,” said William A. Dombi, Esq., president of NAHC. “The annual joint scholarship program has demonstrated it can help aides advance their studies and careers within home care, At a time when providers are facing greater workforce pressures than ever before, this scholarship program is needed more than ever.

“In addition, the scholarships give aides an opportunity to tell their caregiving stories so Americans understand the enormous difference these under-appreciated people make in the lives of so many of our most vulnerable citizens.”

Most Americans want to stay in their own home as they age, according to a study released by NORC Centers for Public Affairs Research. Home Care Aides are an essential part of the support system required for many aging Americans and deserve recognition for the vital care they provide. The pandemic has helped shine a light on the importance that aides serve in keeping our aging population at home, and in their preferred care setting.

November is National Home Care & Hospice Month, a time to celebrate the practice of home care, and all the individuals who make it possible. Part of the months’ celebration includes one week focusing solely on home care aides. They are key to our health system transformation and the annual scholarship program gives fifteen recipients an opportunity to move forward with educational efforts within the industry.

Andrew Kaboff, CRO (Co-founder) of CellTrak explained why the scholarship program is important to CellTrak: “We are happy to announce the kickoff of the third annual CellTrak Home Care Aide Scholarship Program and are excited to be doubling the award amount for 15 deserving recipients. Home Care Aides are healthcare heroes, caring for our friends and family every day on the front lines, and we are honored to support their individual growth by helping them invest in their future.”

This will be the third year a Home Care Aide specific scholarship program will be offered through the National Association for Home Care & Hospice. Aides awarded with scholarships will be announced in November 2022. If you are interested in nominating someone for the scholarship program, please nominate by using this link by October 1, 2022 https://www.celltrak.com/about/celltrak-scholarship.

Scott Decker, Chief Executive Officer of Homecare Homebase stated: “HCHB is proud to support the annual CellTrak Home Care Aide Scholarship. Aides make a huge difference in the lives of the people they serve, by helping with essential activities of daily living and providing much needed interaction and support to combat isolation and ensure our most fragile patients are able to receive care in the place they call “home”. The scholarship is a rewarding program that shows appreciation for this critical group of caregivers.”
