There’s only two weeks left of the NAHC Backyard Advocacy Campaign, and we need your Voices, Hearts, and Action!
This week, as part of our Summer Backyard Advocacy efforts, NAHC is challenging you utilize the postal system and send a postcard to your elected officials’ home offices asking them to show their support for our key legislative priorities. Our caregivers are out on the front lines providing quality care and services to some of our nation’s most vulnerable and we need Congress to ensure the home care and hospice communities have all the support they need to continue to meet the growing demand for care delivered in the home.
NAHC has developed a Resource Guide to assist you in your efforts: POSTCARDS FOR HOME CARE
The resource guide contains easy sample messages for you to use, or you can use a message of your own.
While email and social media offer us the speed of connection and instant gratification that the antiquated mail system never can — the nostalgia of running out to the mailbox to see what’s inside is back. And, with our congressional representatives also at home in their home districts, now is a fantastic time to leverage this whimsy created through the postal system for advocacy on behalf of the home care and hospice communities.
Not ready to send a postcard?
You can also simply visit the NAHC Legislative Action Center and choose to contact your congressional representative(s) with just a few clicks: ADVOCATE NOW!
Together, we can ensure the home care and hospice communities have the support, resources, and protections they need to care for the nation’s most vulnerable during the public health emergency and beyond!
On behalf of the entire NAHC staff, we thank you for your commitment to the home care and hospice communities and your continued advocacy efforts to ensure every American has access to quality home-based care and services today and in the future.
